The black Geobag is a new material in the slope engineering. The geobags are made of polypropylene (PP) or polyester fiber (PET) in a structure of two sided ironing needle punched non-woven fabric, or PP woven fabric. Against the geobag UV unit thickness, quality, physical and mechanical properties, shape, fiber type, force, direction, size and permeability and meet plant growth equivalent aperture were strictly screened, with anti ultraviolet (UV), anti ageing, non-toxic, non combustion, characteristics. No extension of the true zero pollution. Black geobags, which can also called geocontainers, are mainly used in the construction of flexible ecological slope. In slope engineering, this new material can completely replace stone, cement and other materials, which can greatly reduce the cost of the project. After the construction, the slope has a vegetation covered surface, which makes the slope of the excavation reach the effect of greening and form a natural ecological slope. Geobag has permeable and impermeable filtration function. The color is usually black. The slope formed by this way is highly permeable. It has strong protection and stabilization function for soil erosion, local mud rock flow, slope collapse and so on, so it can become a permanent high stable natural slope.
The black geobags or geocontainers are mainly used in the following fields:
1. Both sides of the river: natural coastal environment of coexistence of human and wildlife
2. Mine recovery: comprehensive utilization of gangue, scientific settlement area, greening waste mountain, purifying water and gas, creating a mine ecological restoration, a new era of waste mountain green.
3. Sea lake shore, the land surfaces landslide control, the culvert hole, the drainage ditch, soil erosion, irrigation system and so on.
4. Artificial wetland: ecological restoration.
5. Roof greening.
